A Word About Our Upcoming Events
As I read and watch the news, I see that many live events in our area have been affected by the news of the Coronavirus (COVID-19).
We want to share what our thinking is on ensuring the safety and well-being of our Chamber members and community.
Question: Is the Chamber cancelling EXPO 2020on May 16th?
The short answer is No.
We would not cancel. In a “worst case scenario” – we would reschedule.
We’re monitoring the Coronavirus situation and are waiting to make any decisions as we get closer to the date.
But as of right now – we have no plans to reschedule EXPO 2020 since it’s still 2 months away. You can register your booth by clicking here.
If circumstances are beyond our control and the need to reschedule arises, we will communicate with you any changes as soon as we know.
Question: Is the Chamber cancelling Business Networking Breakfaston April 2nd?
Yes. Our April 2nd breakfast networking event will be cancelled out of abundance of caution. Anyone who has registered for it will be refunded if they paid online.
Question: Is the Chamber cancelling Monroe Clean Sweepon April 18th?
At this time, we are coordinating with all involved to see if it is viable to have this outdoor event. We will let you know within the next two weeks if this event will be totally cancelled, rescheduled or if it’s still on.
Please monitor our website, GMCoC.com and Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/greatermonroe for the latest updates.
There will be many local businesses affected by the Coronavirus and slowing economy. This is the time to help each other as a community in any way we can.
If there is anything that we can do to help, please email us, and we will see if there is any way for us to help.
Be safe.
